It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Picayune had no problem doing just that on Friday. They claimed a resounding 55-7 win over the George County Rebels. The victory continues a trend for the Maroon Tide in their matchups with the Rebels: they've now won six in a row.

Colt Robertson threw for 63 yards and one touchdown. Ontario Wilkins was his top target, picking up 49 receiving yards and one TD. On the ground, Xavier Dennis rushed for 214 yards and four scores on only 13 carries.

Picayune's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for George County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Picayune will take on Hancock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. George County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
