The Adams City Eagles will face off against the Skyline Falcons at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The timing is sure in Adams City's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Skyline has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
On Thursday, Adams City made easy work of Overland and carried off a 12-2 win. Considering the Eagles have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Mauro Acosta spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on two hits and racked up 15 Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Adams City got a massive performance out of Christian Ramirez, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI Ramirez has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jiovani Barajas, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Adams City always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Overland only posted an OBP of .308.
Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Skyline duked it out with Broomfield on Thursday. The Falcons lost 11-1 to the Eagles.
Skyline saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matt Lanier, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.
Adams City has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Skyline, their loss dropped their record down to 5-13-1.
Skyline's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Adams City has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .434.
