The Newington Nor'easters can finally bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Wethersfield as Newington made off with a 39-13 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Newington also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2022.
Akari Rosemond was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also caught a touchdown. The team also got some help courtesy of Enzo Corvino, who threw for 139 yards and two touchdowns.
Newington's victory bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Wethersfield, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-10.
Newington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Wethersfield also has no future games currently scheduled.
