Baseball Recap: Biddeford Has No Trouble Against Noble

After only two runs in their last game, Biddeford made sure to put some runs up on the board against Noble on Tuesday. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 14-6 margin over the Knights. Considering the Tigers have won six matches by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Travis Edgerton was a standout: he went 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Marcus Soucy, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.

Biddeford always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .523. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Noble only posted an OBP of .353.

Biddeford is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That lines up perfectly with their 12-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Noble, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.

Biddeford does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Noble, they will challenge Deering at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Knights are facing the Rams at the right time seeing as the Rams are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
