It was a good run, but  the Chesterton Trojans unfortunately witnessed the end of their  six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Crown Point by a score of  45-43. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  defeat Chesterton has suffered  yet this season.
 Chesterton's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Tenley Davis, who  scored 18 points along with seven  rebounds and three  steals. Davis is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's  now  scored 15 or more in the last five games she's  played.  Kenedi Bradley was another key contributor,  scoring 16 points along with seven  rebounds.
 It was another big night for  Ava Ziolkowski, who  dropped  a double-double on 20 points and 13  rebounds for Crown Point. That makes it seven consecutive games in which  Ziolkowski has scored at least a third of Crown Point's points. Another player making a difference was  Jillian Brown, who  scored nine points along with six  rebounds and three  steals.
 Chesterton's defeat dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Crown Point, their win  ended a three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 12-10.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chesterton will take on Andrean at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Hopefully Andrean focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 20 last Saturday. As for Crown Point, they the luxury  of staying home another  game and will welcome Hanover Central at 7:00  p.m.  on January 25th.
