The Magnolia Sentinels will head out on the road to face off against the Costa Mesa Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Magnolia is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
Last Friday, Magnolia ended up a good deal behind Buena Park and lost 43-29.
Meanwhile, Costa Mesa pushed their score all the way to 62 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They received a tough blow as they fell 81-62 to University. Costa Mesa's defeat continues a unfortunate trend for the squad, making it three in a row.
Magnolia's loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-11. As for Costa Mesa, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.
Magnolia was dealt a bruising 66-27 loss at the hands of Costa Mesa in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Magnolia was down 29-9.
