Baseball Recap: Tara Has No Trouble Against North Iberville

Tara won the last time they faced North Iberville and things went their way on Saturday too. Tara blew past North Iberville 17-4. Considering the Trojans have won nine matches by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Adrian Coleman and Steven Ruiz did most of the damage at the plate: Coleman scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-4, while Ruiz scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Tara is undefeated when Coleman posts two or more runs, but 2-3 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Brown, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

The win made it two in a row for Tara and bumps their season record up to 11-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for North Iberville, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6-1.

Tara will have a chance to go back-to-back against North Iberville: the pair will be back at it again later today.
