Several Yellowjackets players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Taryn Gant, who scored 15 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Grace Strong, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
Jefferson's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-11. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 25.7 points per game. As for Sergeant Bluff-Luton, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-10.
Jefferson and Buena Vista will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Buena Vista is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Sergeant Bluff-Luton, they will be playing at home against Sioux City North at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Iowa (Sioux City North is ranked 219th, while Sergeant Bluff-Luton is ranked 222nd).
