The Prince Avenue Christian Wolverines had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They took down Swainsboro 49-32 on Monday. The victory was nothing new for Prince Avenue Christian as they're now sitting on eight straight.
Aaron Philo continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 320 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.5% of his passes, and also rushing for 84 yards and two touchdowns. He is on a roll when it comes to passing yards, as he's now passed for 300 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Connor Causby, who rushed for 136 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries.
Despite the loss, Swainsboro still got an impressive performance from Demello Jones, who rushed for 21 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 76 receiving yards.
Prince Avenue Christian's victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-1. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 28.47 points. As for Swainsboro, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-3.
