Having struggled with five losses in a row, Ben Davis turned things around against Christel House on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by an 18-6 margin over the Eagles.
The team relied heavily on Bailee Latimer, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and three doubles. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Paige Jones, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.
Ben Davis always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .657. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Franklin Central got the win against Franklin Community on Saturday by a conclusive 12-5. Considering the Flashes have won seven games by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Olivia Starr made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 16 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
In other batting news, Adalynn Foster was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Sarah Miller, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, four runs, and one double.
The victory got Franklin Central back to even at 10-10. As for Ben Davis, their win bumped their record up to 2-8.
