Even though the Jordan-Elbridge Eagles have not done well against the Weedsport Warriors recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Jordan-Elbridge enjoyed a cozy 62-44 win over Weedsport. With that win, Jordan-Elbridge brought their scoring average up to 50.9 points per game.
Jordan-Elbridge had a senior duo take command as Abbie Ahern dropped a double-double on 22 points and 20 rebounds and Ava Hildebrant scored 24 points along with six rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which Hildebrant has scored at least 25% of Jordan-Elbridge's points. Erin Lavancha was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds.
Jordan-Elbridge has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Weedsport, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jordan-Elbridge's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Clyde-Savannah at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th. Weedsport will take on Tully at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
