The Blake Bengals will head out on the road to face off against the Paint Branch Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Blake's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
Blake has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 23 points or more this season. They were the clear victor by a 65-42 margin over Blair.
Meanwhile, Paint Branch put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Springbrook by a score of 69-59. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
It was another big night for Isaiah Lee, who scored 22 points. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Dennis Tamnou, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds.
Blake's victory ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-1. As for Paint Branch, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-0.
Everything came up roses for Blake against Paint Branch when the teams last played back in February as the team secured a 75-45 victory. Does Blake have another victory up their sleeve, or will Paint Branch turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
