While Eagle's win against Capital wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mustangs had just enough and edged out the Golden Eagles 5-4 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Mustangs have posted since April 29, 2024.

Eagle's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Caleb Zawadzki, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. That's the most RBI Zawadzki has posted since back in March. Another was Kristian Fusco, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

Eagle's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-6. As for Capital, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-7.

Eagle didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-3 win against Centennial on the 11th. As for Capital, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 7-3 defeat against Kuna on the 11th.
