Aden Mcgrit made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Mcgrit was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Essex let James (Jay) Jeter and Hunter Byrd run wild. Jeter went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base, while Byrd went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Those three RBI gave Jeter a new career-high.
