After flying high against the Mulberry Grove Aces on Friday, the Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Bobcats came back down to earth. Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Clayton Wojcik, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. Wojcik scored a full 38.9% of Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gage Lorton, who scored 17 points.
Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. As for Patoka, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City is on the road again on December 26th and play against Ramsey at 4:00 p.m. on December 26th. Patoka will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Wayne City at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
