Basketball Recap: Mt. Enterprise's Losing Streak Snapped at Six Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Douglass, Mt. Enterprise was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They secured a 52-46 W over the New Summerfield Hornets. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Wildcats as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Mt. Enterprise got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Bryce Durrett out in front who posted 25 points and four steals. Durrett has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Tanner Wilburn was another key player, going 5 of 7 on his way to 10 points along with five rebounds and five steals.

Mt. Enterprise was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January.

Mt. Enterprise's win bumped their record up to 2-10. As for New Summerfield, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Enterprise will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Frankston at 12:00 p.m. on December 31st. New Summerfield will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Douglass at 7:15 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
