The biggest upset of the week belonged to Linden, who took down 93rd ranked Lapeer West, 10-7. Noah Sargent threw for 124 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 53 yards during the win.
The Eagles moved up to 167 from 206 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Flint Metro. Linden climbed the ranks as a result of defeating the Panthers 10-7.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Swartz Creek's Brendon Fitch and Brandyn Matte have proven to be a lethal combination. Fitch has thrown for 2,165 yards this season, while Matte has 37 catches for 724 yards. Brandon's Matt Sears leads the league in rushing yards with 1,041.
Dennis Hopkins' team made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,769 from 5,701. The advance stemmed from a 10-7 victory over Lapeer West last week.
