It was a good run, but The San Gabriel Matadors unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 28-20 to Los Amigos.
Pedro Hernandez was the offensive standout of the match as he rushed for 144 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. Hernandez is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Maysen Navarro, who rushed for 38 yards and a touchdown.
San Gabriel's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Los Amigos, their victory was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-4.
San Gabriel does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Los Amigos will look to defend their home field on Friday against Walnut at 7:00 p.m.
