After three games on the road, Blanchester is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Reading Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Blanchester fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Felicity-Franklin on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 84-74 to the Cardinals. That's two games in a row now that Blanchester has lost by exactly ten points.
Meanwhile, Reading also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Indian Hill by a score of 67-57. Reading has struggled against Indian Hill recently, as their match on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Blanchester now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Reading, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
Everything came up roses for Blanchester against Reading in their previous matchup back in December of 2019 as the squad secured a 104-67 win. Will Blanchester repeat their success, or does Reading have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
