Jackson Academy extended the longest winning streak in MAIS AAA I District 1 this week by beating Starkville Academy, 49-3. The win marks eighth in a row for the the Raiders.
Jackson Academy took down the Volunteers 49-3 last week, the largest margin of any game. Duncan Maxwell ran for 118 yards and caught 4 passes for 82 yards during the win.
David Skyes' team's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Colin Welsh threw for 127 and 2 touchdowns and Maxwell had 82 yards receiving. On the ground Maxwell contributed 118 yards. Connor Carmody helped Jackson Academy's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 36 yards.

Madison-Ridgeland Academy's Caleb Shufelt and Zach McCraw led the league in both passing and receiving yards. Shufelt has thrown for 1,513 yards this season, while McCraw has 42 catches for 630 yards. Jackson Academy's Maxwell leads the league in rushing yards with 1,135.
The Raiders are currently in first, while Washington is in third.
The Generals made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,574 from 3,841. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 28-14 victory over Pillow Academy last week.
