Last week, Mountainair put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They put a hurting on Ramah to the tune of 52-0. The success made it back-to-back wins for Mountainair.
Meanwhile, it was all tied up at halftime, but Melrose weren't quite Magdalena's equal in the second half when they met. Melrose took a 14-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of Magdalena. This makes it the second loss in a row for Melrose.
Mountainair's victory lifted them to 3-1 while Melrose's defeat dropped them down to 1-2. Whatever the outcome in this rematch, the matchup is bound to be a fierce one since these are two of the top teams in the state.
