Holy Cross moved up to 121 from 164 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in West Jersey - Liberty. The Lancers climbed the ranks as a result of topping Allentown 26-23.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Delran beat Florence Township Memorial 27-2. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Ewing's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Vandy Hall threw for 119 and 1 touchdown and Kani Tye had 61 yards receiving. On the ground Devauntay Ellis chipped in 214 yards. Ellis helped Ewing's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 46 yards.
The Blue Devils' dynamic duo of Hall and Tye proved tough for New Egypt to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Ellis helped Ewing's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 46 yards.
Ellis was a force in the backfield as Ewing beat the Warriors.
Robbinsville's Andrew Aromando and Darron Daniel have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Aromando has thrown for 478 yards this season, while Daniel has 16 catches for 253 yards. Ellis from Drew Besler's team leads the league in rushing with 703 yards.
Fans will be thrilled by an exciting game in the secondary when the Ravens' Daniel goes up against the Blue Devils' Terrance Grissom.
Next week's game between Robbinsville and Ewing will feature a good passing match up as Aromando will test his arm against Grissom's defensive ability.
One of West Jersey - Liberty's premier quarterbacks will go head-to-head with its top pass rusher when Irving Fryar's team and the Blue Devils face off next week.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Bordentown takes on Holy Cross. The Scotties are in fourth place, while Frank Holmes' team is in third place.
The Lancers and the Redbirds played the closest game in the league this week, with the Lancers eventually emerging with a 26-23 victory.
