Volleyball Recap: Liberty Wins Going Away Against Citrus Hill

Liberty had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Citrus Hill on Tuesday. The Bison blew past the Hawks 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bison also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

While Liberty won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-18, 25-22.

Corey Lozano paced Liberty's offense, picking up nine kills. Lozano got some help from Andres Garcia and his 22 assists. Finally, Brenden Adkins and Somuandina Igwedinma kept the team grounded on defense, each having blocked six attacks.

Liberty pushed their record up to 20-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Citrus Hill, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.

Liberty has already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Paloma Valley on the 3rd. Citrus Hill has also already played their next match (against Valley View), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
