In what's become a running theme this season, the Carle Place Frogs gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 54-28 margin over Locust Valley. Winning may never get old, but Carle Place sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Caitlin Leary was her usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with six assists and four steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for 14 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Paige Selhorn, who scored eight points along with six steals and five assists.
Carle Place's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points per game. As for Locust Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carle Place will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Oyster Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Locust Valley will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on East Rockaway at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
