Ryan Flynn was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched six innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 14 runs the game before, Williston Northampton was a bit more limited in their match on Saturday. They lost 9-1 to Canterbury School. The Wildcats have struggled against the Saints recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Williston Northampton's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Pomfret School, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.

Pomfret School might still be hurting after the 13-3 loss they got from Williston Northampton in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Griffins avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
