Baseball Recap: First Flight Wins Going Away Against Northeastern

After only two runs in their last contest, First Flight made sure to put some runs up on the board against Northeastern on Friday. First Flight put the hurt on Northeastern with a sharp 15-6 victory. The result was nothing new for the Nighthawks, who have now won four matches by nine runs or more so far this season.

First Flight let Lance Jones and Fionn Reilly run wild. Jones scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Reilly scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases Reilly has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Dillon Francis, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

First Flight has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9.7 runs. Northeastern is on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

First Flight wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-0 loss against Manteo on the 18th. As for Northeastern, they have also already played their next match, a 13-3 defeat against Holmes on the 18th.
