Trotwood-Madison has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Wayne Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Mansfield Senior scored an imposing 55 points on Saturday, Trotwood-Madison still came out on top. Trotwood-Madison came out on top in a nail-biter against Mansfield Senior and snuck past 58-55.
Trotwood-Madison's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tim Carpenter led the charge by scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Marlon Howard Jr., who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Wayne entered their tilt with Fairmont with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Wayne strolled past Fairmont with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 55-38.
Trotwood-Madison has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Wayne, their win bumped their record up to 13-7.
Things could have been worse for Trotwood-Madison, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 70-55 loss to Wayne in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Trotwood-Madison avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
