The Strawberry Crest Chargers suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Monday. They took a serious blow against Sickles, falling 67-4. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Strawberry Crest has scored all season.
Kelsey Sharpe was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 13 steals for Sickles. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sharpe has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Beckham Hockley, who scored 20 points along with four steals.
Strawberry Crest has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Sickles, they pushed their record up to 16-3 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Strawberry Crest will take on Durant at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Durant focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 last Friday. As for Sickles, they will head out on the road to challenge Alonso at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Alonso will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 495th, while Sickles is ranked 68th).
