The Wilson Hall Barons's three-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They walked away with a 41-32 victory over Florence Christian. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Wilson Hall also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Despite the defeat, Florence Christian saw an underclassman step up: Emerson Poston dropped a double-double on 21 points and 14 rebounds.
Wilson Hall pushed their record up to 8-5 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Florence Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.
Wilson Hall will head out on the road to square off against Laurence Manning Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Laurence Manning Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Florence Christian, they will be playing at home against Pee Dee Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Pee Dee Academy is ranked 142nd, while Florence Christian is ranked 133rd).
