South Allegheny Gets a Boost from Epps in 56-22 Win
Starting off the list is South Allegheny's Cameron Epps, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Epps rushed for 173 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.6 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 61 yards.
Epps must have Shady Side Academy's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. When Epps last faced the Bulldogs back in September of 2023, he rushed for 135 yards and a touchdown.

Jablunovsky Came Up Big in Ligonier Valley's 20-14 Victory
Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday John Jablunovsky stepped things up a notch to give Ligonier Valley the 'W'. Charleroi had no answer to Jablunovsky as he rushed for 194 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. Jablunovsky has become a key player for Ligonier Valley: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 0-3 otherwise.
Ligonier Valley's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-4. Jablunovsky and Ligonier Valley will face off against South Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Steel Valley Wins Third-Straight Thanks to Donald Barksdale
Donald Barksdale was instrumental in extending Steel Valley's winning streak to three on Friday. Nobody could stop Barksdale as he rushed for 165 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 74-yard run.
Apollo Ridge's probably not too fond of Barksdale given he always seems to get the better of them. When Barksdale last faced the Vikings back in September of 2023, he rushed for 202 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 8.8 yards per carry.
