The NC GBB Academy National Eagles pushed their score all the way to 66 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 67-66 to Riverdale Baptist. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (65), NC GBB Academy National still had to take the loss.
Ariana Meriedy continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Riverdale Baptist, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Aliyah Eason, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds.
NC GBB Academy National now has a losing record at 14-15. As for Riverdale Baptist, their victory bumped their record up to 16-21.
NC GBB Academy National does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Riverdale Baptist, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Virginia Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
