The Pocono Mountain East Cardinals had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They secured a 70-66 W over East Stroudsburg North on Thursday. The victory was just what Pocono Mountain East needed coming off of a 71-24 defeat in their prior match.
Loss or not, East Stroudsburg North got some senior leadership from Bryceson Dobie and Nate Wilder. Dobie scored 26 points, while Wilder. scored 19 points. Wilder hasn't dropped below 15points for eight straight games.
Pocono Mountain East now has a winning record of 7-6. As for East Stroudsburg North, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.
Pocono Mountain East won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Louis E. Dieruff at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. Louis E. Dieruff knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully Pocono Mountain East likes a good challenge. East Stroudsburg North's road trip will continue as they head out to face Pleasant Valley at 7:00 p.m. on January 22nd.
