If the St. Croix Lutheran Crusaders were feeling good off their 82-56 takedown of Fridley last Tuesday, that ride came to an abrupt end. St. Croix Lutheran took a hard 79-66 fall against the Richfield Spartans this past Friday. The result was an unfortunate reminder to the Crusaders of the 80-60 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head in January.
The loss dropped St. Croix Lutheran's record to 10-11. The win was the sixth in a row for Richfield and raised their record to 20-4.
St. Croix Lutheran will take on St. Anthony Village on Tuesday at home. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 32 minutes: the MaxPreps rankings predict a close game. As for Richfield, they will go up against Columbia Heights on Tuesday. Richfield won't have the home-court advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
