After both having extra time off, The North Kingstown Skippers and the La Salle Academy Rams will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 6:00 p.m. on November 10th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Rhode Island (North Kingstown is ranked fourth, while La Salle Academy is ranked fifth).
Last Friday, North Kingstown narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Central 10-7. The win was just what North Kingstown needed coming off of a 28-3 loss in their prior matchup.
North Kingstown's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brayden Rogers, who threw for 191 yards and a touchdown while completing 72.2% of his passes. North Kingstown also got a significant boost from Victor Encarnacion, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 91 yards.
Meanwhile, La Salle Academy owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance two weeks ago. They enjoyed a cozy 14-0 win over South Kingstown.
North Kingstown's victory was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 5-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 27.3 points per game. As for La Salle Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.
North Kingstown suffered a grim 42-21 defeat to La Salle Academy in their previous matchup back in October. Can North Kingstown avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
