Warren Township breezed by Oswego at home to the tune of 39-3. The result was nothing new for Warren Township, who have now won seven contests by 20 points or more so far this season.
Warren Township's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Donovan Mcneal led the charge by rushing for 123 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. Mcneal was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 53 yards. Another player making a difference was Aaron Stewart, who rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns.
Warren Township's victory was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.2 points per game. As for Oswego, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season.
Warren Township will square off against South Elgin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. South Elgin knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Warren Township likes a good challenge. Oswego does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
