La Pine had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They snuck past Douglas with a 18-12 win. This was the first game for both teams, giving La Pine a 1-0 record and starting Douglas off at 0-1.
La Pine will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Madras at 7:00 PM. As for Douglas, they will face off against Santiam Christian.
