While losing is never fun, Jim Thorpe can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 642nd, while Marian Catholic is ranked 143rd).
It was another big night for Jacob Miller, who scored 19 points along with six assists and three steals for Marian Catholic. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Jesse Rodino, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Jim Thorpe's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-9. As for Marian Catholic, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games.
