Hillcrest is 1-9 against Bonneville since May of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Bees at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Hillcrest took a 11-run loss the last time they faced off against Idaho Falls, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Knights had just enough and edged out the Tigers 3-2. The victory was some much needed relief for the Knights as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Andrew Johnson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up six Ks. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Hillcrest is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 6-13 otherwise.
At the plate, Cole Croft was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double. He has become a key player for Hillcrest: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 5-13 otherwise.
Meanwhile, Bonneville entered their tilt with Hillcrest on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Knights 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Bees, who have now won 14 matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.
Jackson Ropp tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Bonneville let Gavin Webb and Carter Bowen run wild. Webb went 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one double, while Bowen got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs Bowen has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Taye Lords, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
Bonneville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hillcrest only posted an OBP of .263.
Hillcrest's record now sits at 8-14. As for Bonneville, their record is now 20-3.
Hillcrest suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to Bonneville when the teams last played on Friday. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
