After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Longmeadow, Pope Francis Prep was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on Hampden Charter School of Science with a sharp 19-5 win. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won eight matches by 14 runs or more so far this season.

Pope Francis Prep got a massive performance out of Gianna Percy, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. Taylor Moreau was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Pope Francis Prep's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Hampden Charter School of Science, they moved to 4-4 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, Pope Francis Prep will challenge Putnam Vo-Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hampden Charter School of Science, they will head out to face off against Commerce at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Red Raiders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.42 runs per game on average), something Hampden Charter School of Science will no doubt try to take advantage of.
