The Northfield Nighthawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 33 points or more this season. They breezed by Greeley Central on the road to the tune of 61-21. Given Northfield's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 57th, while Greeley Central is ranked 266th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Kate Snodgrass was the offensive standout of the game as she scored eight points along with nine rebounds and six blocks. She set a new season high mark in steals with four. The team also got some help courtesy of Nashara Ellerbee, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Despite the loss, Greeley Central still got an impressive performance from Madison Sepeda, who scored eight points along with four steals. Sepeda scored a full 38.1% of Greeley Central's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
The victory was the third in a row for Northfield, bringing their record for this year to 7-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Greeley Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
