Winning always takes teamwork, but on Thursday Brady Shaw stepped things up a notch to give Zionsville the 'W'. Nobody could stop Shaw as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Zionsville is 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 2-3 otherwise.

Shaw's strong effort led Zionsville over Hamilton Southeastern and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles are 8-2 against the Royals going back to April of 2019, a lead they'll look to extend.
