Alex Nicholson Turns in Season-Best Performance
On Friday, Fort Bragg got the W thanks in part to Alex Nicholson playing the best football he has all season. Nicholson rushed for 251 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.7 yards per carry, and also picked up 66 receiving yards, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 69 yards.
Upper Lake had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Nicholson it was a similar story. When Nicholson last faced the Cougars back in October of 2023, he rushed for 174 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.6 yards per carry, and also threw for 64 yards and a touchdown.

Brock Barrick Delivers Best Performance of Season
Kelseyville was led to victory by Brock Barrick, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Barrick rushed for 165 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. He didn't just play on offense: he also made five total tackles and defended a pass.
The win (which was Kelseyville's fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1. They and Lower Lake are set to duel on Friday.

Michael Dejohn Goes Supernova in Kelseyville Win
Keeping Barrick company is Michael Dejohn, a fellow Kelseyville player. He rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 118 rushing yards.
Dejohn is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Lower Lake on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Dejohn saw the Trojans), he rushed for 88 yards and two touchdowns.

While Willits might've come up empty on Friday, Kolbe Bufardeci wasn't going down without a fight. Bufardeci was dynamite, making ten total tackles. He showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 50 yards.
With the defeat, Willits broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-2. Bufardeci and Willits will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Clear Lake at 7:00 p.m.

Rockey Made His Presence Known in Willits' 20-17 Loss
Corey Rockey posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He threw for 167 yards and a touchdown while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushed for 39 yards.
This year, Rockey has thrown 15 touchdowns while averaging 191.8 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 14.85 passer rating per game. This year he is averaging 101.71 passer rating.
