Sean Mettler, Royalton-Hartland's leader in runs on the season, led the team again on Wednesday. Mettler produced his best game of the campaign: he went 4-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Royalton-Hartland's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 1-5 when he doesn't).

Mettler's strong effort led Royalton-Hartland over Newfane and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. The Rams are 8-1 against the Panthers going back to May of 2021, a lead they'll look to extend.
