After two games on the road, Milwaukee Lutheran is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Kettle Moraine Lutheran Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Milwaukee Lutheran's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
Even though Brown Deer scored an imposing 78 points on Friday, Milwaukee Lutheran still came out on top. It was close, but Milwaukee Lutheran ultimately received the gift of a 81-78 win from a begrudging Red Knightssquad.
Milwaukee Lutheran can attribute much of their success to Isaiah Allen, who scored 22 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds, and Makhai Jewell, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 29 points and 1 assists. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Allen has scored at least 25% of Milwaukee Lutheran's points. Xavier Allen was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Kettle Moraine Lutheran unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 74-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kewaskum. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Milwaukee Lutheran now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Kettle Moraine Lutheran, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 4-3.
Milwaukee Lutheran was able to grind out a solid win over Kettle Moraine Lutheran when the teams last played back in December of 2022, winning 87-79.
