Southern Connecticut Division II - West recap Nov. 7, 2012
Hillhouse's Je'Vaughn Moore recorded the longest rushing play in Southern Connecticut Division II - West this season in his game against Lyman Hall last week. Moore ran for 99 yards on the play and finished with 116 on the day as his team bested the Trojans.
Lyman Hall made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 13,057 from 13,225. The improvement was the result of 46-0 victory over Robert Marone's team last week.
Law's dynamic duo of Giovanni Marzullo and Nick Kosa proved tough for Guilford to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Marzullo threw for six yards and Kosa had six yards receiving.
Harold Cooper was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 10 carries, he ran for 224 yards as Hillhouse lost to the Indians.
Thanks to the talents of Moore and Cooper Tom Dyer's team has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Moore leads the league in passing with 541 yards, while Cooper has rushed for 1003 yards this season. Branford's Justin Blood leads the league in receiving yards with 254 on 11 catches.
Guilford led the league in scoring this week after putting up 48 points on Law.
