North Ridgeville posted their closest win yet this season on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Avon Lake and snuck past 52-49.
Meanwhile, Steele was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 51-47 to Avon.
North Ridgeville's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Steele, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.
North Ridgeville was able to grind out a solid victory over Steele in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, winning 59-51. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Ridgeville since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
