Maddux "Maddog" Madsen of American Fork (Utah) and Jonathon Brooks of Hallettsville (Texas) are MaxPreps All-State players who highlight our list of the top statistical performers from the 2020 high school football season.
In his fourth game, Madsen, a second-team MaxPrep Utah All-State pick, threw for 628 yards and nine touchdowns in a 69-49 win over East. Madsen's TD total topped the nation, while his yardage ends No. 2 on the season, behind Blake McGraw of McKinney Christian Academy (Texas), who had 634 yards.
Brooks, who ran for 3,530 yards and 70 total touchdowns on the season, churned out 501 yards and nine touchdowns in a 61-48 win over Lorena. Brooks's rushing total ranked No. 4 in the nation this year while his nine touchdowns were tied for the most. Brooks was honored on the MaxPreps Texas All-State first team.
The top receiving mark in the nation came from Cameron O'Banan of Dripping Springs (Texas), who caught 15 passes for a national-bests of 410 yards and six touchdowns. His yardage total ranks No. 3 in Texas history while his touchdown total is tied for third.
