Baseball Recap: Moscow Wins Going Away Against Skyview

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Moscow had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past the Skyview Hawks 11-5. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Gunnar Holloway was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Hurley, who went 3-for-4 with two runs.

Moscow hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in six consecutive matchups.

Moscow is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-10 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Skyview, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-6-1.

As of now, neither Moscow nor the Hawks have any future games scheduled.
