Wharton had to endure  a  four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They had just enough and edged La Marque out  2-1. That looming  2-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Wharton yet this  season.
 They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of 
 Leo Camacho and 
 Joseph Mata, who scored.
 Wharton's victory bumped their record up to 1-4. As for La Marque,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 0-2.
 Wharton will be playing at home against Palacios at 7:15  p.m.  on Monday. Palacios has not scored a goal the last five times they've played, a trend they'll try and put an end to. As for La Marque, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Brazosport at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday.
