The Immaculata-La Salle Royal Lions will head out to challenge the Divine Savior Academy Sharks at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Immaculata-La Salle will be strutting in after a victory while Divine Savior Academy will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Tuesday, Immaculata-La Salle was fully in charge, breezing past Don Soffer Aventura 54-10. The Royal Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 23 points or more this season.

Immaculata-La Salle's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alexandra Gonzalez Casar, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Gonzalez Casar has been hot for a while, having posted nine or more boards the last ten times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Candy Cruz, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.
Immaculata-La Salle smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in eight consecutive games.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 72-11, which was the final score in Divine Savior Academy's tilt against Ransom Everglades on Tuesday. The Sharks have struggled against the Raiders recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Immaculata-La Salle will need focus on slowing down Claudia Cardenas, one of several Divine Savior Academy players who made an impact when they last played. She posted two points and seven boards.
Immaculata-La Salle is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.3 points per game. As for Divine Savior Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.
Everything went Immaculata-La Salle's way against Divine Savior Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as Immaculata-La Salle made off with a 43-18 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Immaculata-La Salle since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
